rocio nettles.

Rocio Nettles is a first generation Chicago native and a daughter of Mexican immigrants. She is a University of Illinois in Chicago
Graduate in Criminal Justice and has been a police officer for the
past 14 years. She is currently working as a Data Analyst in the
Strategic Initiatives Division for the Chicago Police Department.
Through the course of her career she has worked as a patrol officer and as rapid response officer. She has also held positions in the Community Alternative Policing Strategy (CAPS) unit as a Youth, Senior Service, and Domestic Violence liaison. Working in CAPS allowed her to work closely with community members in the Little Village and North Lawndale neighborhoods and has given her the opportunity to run programs and workshops for the youth and seniors as well assist victims of domestic violence abuse.
Aside from her passion in making a difference in the community, she believes in the power of sports, health and fitness. Rocio is a six time nationally ranked fitness competitor. Her passion and dedication to fitness has allowed her to win many championship competitions and has been able to help people with their weight loss journey along the way. Programs that help foster healthy values for the youth sports is paramount for the Marcus Nettles Project and is part of how we will make a difference in impacting our youth.
